The purpose of this tool is to view WEBP images online in situations where WEBP files are not supported. The majority of popular web browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, support the WebP format. However, some web browsers, such as Internet Explorer 11 and KaiOS, do not support WEBP. Our tool makes it easier to view WEBP images by converting them to PNG or JPG files, which work with most popular web browsers and most operating systems. This tool allows the online viewing of WEBP images without the need for any additional plugins or decoders.
WebP is a new image format developed by Google that allows both lossless and lossy image compression. The goal is to provide high-quality images in smaller file sizes, which will allow the website to load faster and function more efficiently. WebP lossless images are 26% lower in size than PNGs, and lossy WebP images are 25-34% smaller than comparable JPEG images with the same SSIM quality index. Webp supports transparency in both lossless and lossy image compression and is natively supported in Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, the Opera browser, as well as numerous additional tools and software libraries.
What we do
