How to check image size in INCHES
Description
When a image is printed on paper, its size is typically stated in inches since this is the standard measurement for the majority of standard image print sizes and it makes it simpler to locate a frame that accurately fits the image. Other than image printing, certain official documents, such as ID cards, passports, and visas, demand that photo sizes be measured in inches to comply with their specifications.
Using the image's width, height, and DPI (dots per inch), one can easily calculate the image's size in inches. The DPI is a ratio that shows how many pixels are required to print one inch of paper. To determine the size of an image in inches, use the formula (number of pixels in a dimension / DPI). For instance, if an image's DPI is 72 and its width and height are 768 px and 1048 px respectively. Then, its width in inches is equal to 768 / 72 = 10.66 inches, and its height in inches is equal to 1048 / 72 = 14.55 inches.
